If you’re looking to begin or kick start a career in appliance repair training, look no further than the NAC National Training Centre, the UK’s largest City & Guilds and CPD Accredited domestic appliance repair training centre for both new entrants and for existing engineers wanting to expand their skill-sets.
Located in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, our training centre is a state-of-the-art modern building that hosts our in-person appliance repair training courses. Your course will start out in our clean, modern, air conditioned classroom environment where we will present our theory training via our self developed, constantly-updated presentations.
From there we move onto the practical training including safety and identifying, understanding and testing components to suit the specific appliance repair courses you’re undertaking. You’ll get everything you need to know to kick start your career in engineering right here.
We have never had any accidents or serious injuries at our training centre. That’s probably down to the fact that we take the safety of our instructors and our in-person attendees extremely seriously. That’s why our instructors are First Aid trained and our training centre is fully equipped with first aid kits and we have a registered AED Defibrillator on-site.
At the training centre, we have annual Fire Risk Assessments and Health and Safety Risk Assessments and we are fully insured so you know that you are in safe hands.
Before we start any in-person training, we will always start with the core safety aspects of the appliance repair process by introducing you to safety testing and using safety test meters. It’s only when we know that you fully understand how to isolate appliances and work safely, that we’ll progress to the specific appliance type training modules.
The NAC National Training Centre is located pretty much in the centre of the UK mainland! We’re just 2 minutes off the M1 motorway junction 39 in Wakefield (WF4 3BA) and we have plenty of free on-site parking available. There is a Premier Inn and a restaurant pub literally just 2 minutes walk from our training centre and there are lots of local things to do and places to go to fill your evenings while you’re staying.
If you don’t drive, no problem! Wakefield Westgate is our nearest train station only a few miles away and around £5 in an Uber to our door.

A training centre is only as good as its instructors. Luckily ours have more than 50 years of combined experience and knowledge with a wide and varied background meaning that they’re experts in plenty of fields. This means we’re able to offer a range of top quality City & Guilds and CPD Accredited courses covering safety testing, installation and repairs across laundry products, dishwashers, refrigerators, cookers, ovens, hobs and microwaves.
